What Happened at the Noida Apartment?
According to a TOI report, the deceased has been identified as Ajay Garg, an executive director at IOCL and a resident of ATS One Hamlet society. The incident took place around 10.20 am, officials said.Preliminary investigations suggest Garg was on a phone call moments before the fall. Police believe he may have stepped out onto the balcony because of weak mobile signals inside the flat.
Residents Spot Body, Executive Declared Dead at Hospital
Soon after the fall, residents of the housing society noticed Garg lying motionless on the ground and alerted emergency services. He was rushed to a private hospital in Sector 110, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Accident or Suicide? Police Probe Underway
Senior police officials said that while initial findings indicate death due to the fall, it is too early to determine whether it was accidental or a case of suicide.“All possible angles are being examined,” a senior police officer said.
Investigators are scanning CCTV footage from inside the society and nearby areas to reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the fall. No suicide note was recovered from the flat, and police said there were no immediate signs of self-harm.
Family Details and Further Investigation
Ajay Garg was originally from Kanpur and lived in Noida with his wife, Mayuri. His son is employed in Mumbai. Police have begun recording statements from family members, society residents, and staff as part of the investigation.Officials said further action will be taken after receiving reports from forensic analysis and medical examinations.
Police have urged the public not to speculate as the probe is ongoing. The exact circumstances surrounding the fall will become clearer once technical and medical findings are reviewed.
