Noida Shocker: Manipur Woman Allegedly Kills South Korean Live-in Partner After Fight Over Drinking
A 47-year-old South Korean national was allegedly stabbed to death by his live-in partner, a woman from Manipur, following a heated argument over his drinking habits at their flat in Greater Noida’s Sector 150, police said. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, according to a TOI report.

The accused woman has been detained for questioning, while police have registered a murder case and launched a detailed investigation into the sequence of events.

Victim Worked in Greater Noida for a Decade

The deceased, identified as Duck Hee Yuh, a native of Cheongju-si in South Korea, had been working with a logistics company in Greater Noida for the past 10 years. He was living with his girlfriend, Lunjeana Pamai (22), from Bishnupur in Manipur, at a flat in ATS Pious Hideways.

Police said the couple had been in a live-in relationship for around two years.

Argument Over Drinking Escalated Into Violence

According to police, the couple had met at a party in Gurgaon before entering into a relationship. While Hee was employed, Pamai was not working at the time.

ADCP (Greater Noida) Sudheer Kumar said the woman told investigators that Hee had been drinking continuously since Saturday morning. She claimed that between 3 am and 4 am, she tried to stop him from drinking and asked him to eat dinner and go to sleep.

However, Hee allegedly became aggressive, leading to a heated argument that soon turned physical. “The woman claimed she was assaulted during the fight and, in retaliation, picked up a knife from the dining table and stabbed him multiple times in the chest,” Kumar said.

Girlfriend Took Injured Man to Hospital With Driver

As Hee collapsed, Pamai reportedly called his driver, Mandeep Singh, and asked him to come to the flat. When Singh arrived, she informed him about the incident.

An ambulance was called, and the injured man was taken to the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) along with Pamai and the driver. Doctors, however, declared him dead on arrival.

Police said Pamai quietly left the hospital after learning about Hee’s death, without informing anyone.

Case Registered; Family Informed

Following a complaint filed by the driver, a case was registered against Pamai under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Knowledge Park police station.

Police have informed Hee’s family in South Korea, who are expected to travel to Noida soon.

Frequent Arguments Reported, Say Police

Quoting the driver, police said the couple often argued over trivial issues. An officer also referred to an incident last month when Hee allegedly became aggressive and verbally abused his girlfriend.

“We are examining all aspects of the case, including past incidents and the exact sequence of events leading to the murder,” a senior police officer said, adding that Pamai remains in custody for further questioning.
