The owners of a Noida apartment were finally back in their house, ending a week-long saga that began when their tenant refused to vacate the place.

Sunil and Rakhi Gupta, the owners of a 15th floor apartment at Shri Radha Sky were in for a rude shock earlier this month after their tenant refused to move out after the rental agreement between the parties expired.

Following the refusal to move out, the Guptas camped out on the stairs of their apartment in a bid to pressure the tenant into leaving. After eight days of staying on the stairs, they succeeded.

The Guptas' tenant, a 33-year-old property dealer moved out of the apartment in the late hours of Thursday, July 28, with her furniture still on its way out.

"Nobody is giving me a flat now. I have asked in 4-5 societies, but everyone declined," they were quoted as saying by the Times of India.
