With lakhs of aspirants gearing up for one of India’s most competitive entrance exams, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the final syllabus for NEET (UG) 2026. Students have been advised to strictly follow the updated curriculum to avoid confusion or misinformation and to prepare effectively.

The revised syllabus for the 2026–27 academic session has been published on the commission’s official website. Medical colleges, schools, coaching centres and state authorities have also been instructed to ensure that their teaching materials and guidance align with the updated framework.

According to officials, the revised syllabus provides clear, unit-wise details for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, largely based on senior secondary-level coursework. The move aims to ensure greater uniformity and transparency in preparation. Medical institutions have also been directed to consider the updated syllabus while planning academic resources and outreach programmes for aspiring candidates.
