New video shows Sonali Phogat forced to take drink at Goa nightclub: Watch

A new video clip from Goa has suggested that BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat has forced by one of the accused to take a drink in a nightclub hours before she died.

The man in the latest video is suspected to be one of her two associates, Sudhir Sangwan, ANI reported. Sangwan, along with the other associated Sukhwinder Singh, were held in connection with the death case.

The video shows the person making Phogat drink something from a small bottle, which she immediately spat out.


This video comes a day after another CCTV footage showed her coming out of the nightclub at the Curlie's in North Goa district. Sangwan was purportedly seen in that video helping her out, hours before she was declared dead at a Goa hospital.

Police in Goa have already said Phogat was given methamphetamine, a recreational drug, by her aides hours before her death, and they were apparently referencing this video.

Phogat, a former TikTok star and Bigg Boss participant, was brought dead to St Anthony Hospital at Anjuna in North Goa district on August 23 morning from the hotel where she was staying.

Doctors at the hospital said she suffered a heart attack, but her brother alleged that her aides Sagwan and Singh, who went to Goa with her, had played a role in her death.

Police have also arrested Edwin Nunes, owner of the Curlie's restaurant, and Dattaprasad Gaonkar, roomboy at the Hotel Grand Leoney Resort where she was staying, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

An FIR for murder was registered after the autopsy report said that there were multiple "blunt force injuries" on her body, but the cause of death would be ascertained only after a chemical of the viscera.

The Haryana government is set to write to the Goa government seeking a CBI probe into the death of the BJP leader after her family met with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
