Netflix launches trailer of action-thriller CAT starring Randeep Hooda

Netflix launched the trailer for its upcoming series titled CAT. Starring Randeep Hooda in the lead role, the series is an action-thriller where the protagonist plays a police informer.

Netflix constantly adds new content to its library to cater to the diverse needs of its subscribers. CAT is the latest series to join the Netflix library, with Randeep Hooda in the lead.

Releasing on 9th December, CAT is being promoted as an action-thriller where brotherhood and espionage are the main highlights.


The trailer

The latest trailer dropped by the OTT giant shows parallel timelines and how they shape the destiny and family of Gurnam Singh, the protagonist. The trailer shows Singh reprising his role as a police informant for his brother’s sake. This leads him through espionage, politics, power, corruption, and crime.

Director Balwinder Singh Janjua said he wanted his venture to highlight different relationships. The story is set in Punjab across two timelines, and the crew shot across the state to add a touch of authenticity to the story.

Randeep Hooda, who plays the protagonist, Gurnam Singh, talked about his character. He said that Singh is depicted as being fierce but calm. He is strong but, at the same time, fragile too. Hooda said that while the audience will familiarise themselves with Singh, they will not be able to predict his next move.

CAT also stars Hasleen Kaur, Suvinder Vicky, Sukhwinder Chahal, Danish Sood, and Geeta Aggarwal, among others.
