Netflix launches Discord bot to stream movies on the social platform

Discord users can now stream movies directly on the platform via a new bot, launched by entertainment service Netflix in a move that may well end up benefiting both parties.

In a tweet, the streaming platform said "see you on @discord," attaching a tutorial video to the new bot that they were launching.

The Netflix Discord Bot will allow you to suggest threads for discussions that may be spoiler-free and carry out watch parties.


Discord, the communication platform, has always featured many bots that let users access a myriad of functions, from sharing music to video conferencing and streaming in groups.

On the bot, you can watch alone, with a group on a server, or with someone else. To use it, you must summon the Discord Bot with a slash (/heynetflix).
