She said that she had worked with 13 National Award winners. She said she had successful films under her belt, but she was out of work today.
Chandra further said she felt unwanted in the industry even after doing so much work.
Talking about an incident with a casting director, Chandra revealed that he immediately rejected her within an hour of her audition. This made her wonder about his intentions. She felt that the casting director auditioned her only to reject her and kill her confidence.
Chandra also added that she had been having suicidal thoughts.
Last year, in October, Chandra was interviewed about her role in the then-upcoming movie, Never Back Down – Revolt. She said she had a Black Belt 4th Dan in the art of Taekwondo. This qualification gave her confidence in her role in the film. She stated that she was prepared to do the heavy-duty action sequences. She chose to film the action scenes herself, denying her right to a body double. To that end, she rehearsed for hours to perfect her performance. In the film, her fans can see her doing different martial arts, and Taekwondo is one of them. She ended her interview by saying that all actors aspire to do something new. Her role in the Hollywood movie was her shot at discovering something new.
