The NEET website is reportedly down for many applicants as they have difficulty accessing the official portal and submitting their NEET UG 2026 application forms. The website shows an error message stating, “The service is unavailable.” Others have faced slow loading pages, session timeouts, or incomplete form submissions due to server crashes.

NEET UG registration: Is there an extension?

Despite the glitches, the official last date for registration remains unchanged. Candidates can submit their applications until 9.00 pm on March 8, 2026, while the fee payment window is open until 11.50 pm. Applicants are advised to keep trying to access the website, clear their browser cache, or use alternative devices and networks if possible, to complete the registration before the deadline.

NEET UG 2026 Exam Schedule

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET UG) 2026 is scheduled for May 3, 2026, in a single shift from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

NEET UG 2026 Application Correction Window

After the registration deadline, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the application correction window from March 10 to March 12, 2026. During this period, candidates who have already submitted their forms can log in to the NEET portal and make permitted changes to their application details.

Typically, students can edit the following fields:

• Exam city preference
• Category or sub-category
• Medium of the question paper
• Uploaded photographs, signatures, or other documents (if required)

However, key personal details such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, email ID, and registered mobile number cannot be changed once the form has been submitted.

What happens after the correction window

Once the correction facility closes, the next important update for candidates will be the exam city intimation slip. This slip provides information about the city where the examination centre will be located, allowing candidates to plan their travel in advance.

The NEET UG 2026 admit card is expected to be released in the last week of April on the official NTA website. Candidates must download the admit card and carry it along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre.
