NEET UG Exam 2026 paper leak news
With just days to go for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issues a statement on paper leak rumours to calm nerves. The NTA NEET UG exam will be held on May 3, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM, and officials say all sensitive materials have already reached centres securely. Addressing viral claims about a possible leak, the agency stated, “There is no possibility of paper leaks or early access.”

NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak Rumours swirl

Over the past few days, social media platforms and messaging groups have been flooded with claims suggesting early access to question papers. NTA has rejected these outright, calling them misleading and baseless.

In a public message, the agency said, “Please don’t fall for scams or unnecessary panic. NTA is proactively taking action against all such reports.” It also urged candidates and students’ parents to flag suspicious posts to CyberCrime authorities or directly to the agency.

NEET UG Exam Guidelines

This year’s NEET UG will be conducted across 552 centres. Arrangements are in place to ensure a fair and orderly exam environment nationwide.

What happens if biometric verification fails?

As part of security checks, candidates must undergo biometric verification before entering the exam hall. However, the NTA has clarified that technical glitches will not cost anyone their chance to write the exam.

If biometric verification fails due to hardware issues, poor data quality, connectivity problems with UIDAI, or even physical limitations, candidates will still be allowed inside. They will need to submit a written undertaking, with the format provided at the centre.

No interruptions during exam hours

The agency has also made it clear that once the exam begins, candidates will not be disturbed for biometric procedures. The test will run uninterrupted from 2 PM to 5 PM, with an extended window till 6 PM for PwD/PwBD candidates where applicable.

With lakhs of aspirants appearing for one of India’s most competitive exams, even a hint of a paper leak can trigger panic. By addressing rumours early and outlining clear procedures, the NTA is trying to keep the focus on a smooth and fair exam day rather than online speculation.
