As the NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) PG 2025 examination approaches, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued an urgent advisory to aspirants, cautioning them against a surge in fake notices, scam emails, SMSes, and misleading social media messages. These fraudulent communications falsely claim exam postponements, leaked question papers, or even guaranteed scores, all in the name of NBEMS.

In its July 10, 2025 notification, NBEMS reiterated that it communicates only through its two official websites
natboard.edu.in
nbe.edu.in

The board also announced the launch of its official WhatsApp channel, urging candidates to use it as the only authentic source for instant updates. NBEMS clarified that it does not operate any official accounts on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube.

How to Identify Official Notices

To help candidates distinguish real updates from fake ones, NBEMS pointed out a key security feature:
Every official NBEMS notice issued since July 2020 includes a QR code.
Scanning the QR code will redirect users to the exact notice on the official NBEMS website.

Any notice or message lacking this QR code should be considered suspicious.

Rise in Misinformation and Exam-Related Scams

NBEMS flagged several types of scams currently targeting NEET PG candidates. These include:

Fake claims about exam date changes or delays
Messages offering leaked question papers or high marks in exchange for money or personal details
Social media accounts impersonating NBEMS officials, offering exam assistance or "shortcuts"

The medical board urged students to stay alert, avoid engaging with unauthorized sources, and report any phishing or scam attempt immediately.

Candidates are strongly advised to verify all information through official sources only and avoid falling prey to deceptive messages or offers. Misinformation not only causes confusion but can also lead to serious consequences for a candidate’s future.
