Anand Mahindra says Neeraj Chopra's training video reminds him that success does not come easily

Businessman Anand Mahindra on Tuesday on his twitter handle posted a video clip of Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra admiring his fitness programme.. The 25-year-old javelin thrower is presently practising in the United Kingdom for the 2023 season. The Indian javelin thrower is gearing up for three major competitions this year: the World Championships, the Asian Games 2023, and the Diamond League final.

The Mahindra Group chairman was not the only one who praised Neeraj Chopra's efforts. Chopra's athleticism has recently been praised by great US sprinter Michael Johnson. One of the videos he released of Chopra's training showed the javelin thrower practising various sprinting patterns.


After setting and breaking multiple records in the previous year, the Olympian is now attempting to break the 90-metre barrier in his sport this year.


Neeraj Chopra has gold medals from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Commonwealth Games, the Asian Games, the Asian Championships, and the Junior World Championships. He is also a world championship silver medalist, a Diamond League winner, and a long-time national record holder.


He has set a new national record and became only the second Indian (and first male track and field athlete) to win a medal at the World Athletics Championships in the last year. He is also the first Indian to have ever won the renowned Diamond League trophy, which is awarded to the best athletes in the world. Chopra currently has the male javelin record after throwing 89.94 metres at the Stockholm Diamond League, breaking his own mark.
