Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s fans go gaga over actor’s new look in Zee Studios' revenge drama ‘Haddi’

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s fans went for a ride when Zee Studio released the motion poster for its noir revenge drama Haddi.

Siddiqui is seen wearing a red saree along with a red bindi on his forehead. The actor went on to share his new look on his official Instagram account with a caption in Hindi that read, “giraftar teri aankhon mai hove jaa rahe hai hum, jeena nhi hai fir bhi jeeye jaarhe hai hum” (In your eyes I am getting trapped, I am continuing to live, even when I don’t want to).

Haddi, which is slated to release in 2023, will see Siddiqui playing the role of a transgender. The actor in an interview said that his respect for female actors grew significantly after his role in Haddi. “Now, I know why an actress may take longer than her male counterpart to get out of her vanity van. It’s absolutely justified,” Siddiqui added.


Directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma, Haddi is a revenge drama, produced by Zee Studios and will see Anurag Kashyap, Iila Arun, and Shreedhar Dubey sharing screen with Siddiqui.

Siddiqui further accepted that though he has previously played many diverse and interesting characters, Haddi will be a special one for him personally. “I will be sporting a never-seen-before look and it will also help me to push the envelope as an actor,” he said.

Director Sharma was excited about working with Siddiqui, he said, “It’s going to be a double whammy, as Haddi allows me to collaborate with Nawazuddin.”

Meanwhile, the fans have been going gaga over Siddiqui’s new look with one Instagram user calling him a “Legend,” while the other user went on “demanding an Oscar for Siddiqui”.

Haddi will be available on Zee5 after its theatrical release next year.

The Sacred Games star was last seen in ‘Heropanti 2’, alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria.
