National Lok Adalat 2026: How to check pending traffic challans
Before registering for National Lok Adalat 2026, vehicle owners should first verify whether they have any unpaid challans linked to their vehicle.You can check pending challans through official portals by following these steps:
Visit the traffic police website of your state or the Parivahan e-challan portal
Enter your vehicle registration number, driving licence number, or challan number.
View the list of pending challans associated with the vehicle.
Confirm that the challans are eligible for settlement through Lok Adalat.
Only challans that appear on official systems can be processed during the Lok Adalat.

How can you register for National Lok Adalat?
Eligible vehicle owners must complete online registration in advance to participate in the upcoming Lok Adalat session. Follow these steps to register:Click on the ‘Lok Adalat Registration’ option available on the homepage.

Download or save the confirmation slip/token, which will be required during the Lok Adalat hearing.

Documents needed for National Lok Adalat

Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate
Traffic challan receipts or challan details

Which traffic challans are eligible for Lok Adalat
Lok Adalat usually accepts minor and compoundable traffic offences. These include:Driving without a helmet or seatbelt
Over-speeding
Jumping traffic signals

Driving without a valid PUC certificate
Ignoring traffic signs
In certain situations, driving without a licence may also be considered for settlement.
