National Creators Award: Meet Aman Gupta who got Celebrity Creator of the Year award

On March 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the inaugural National Creators Award to acknowledge excellence and impact across various domains, including storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming, among others. The award aims to serve as a catalyst for leveraging creativity to foster positive change.

According to a government press release, the first round of nominations garnered over 1.5 lakh entries across 20 different categories. Subsequently, approximately 10 lakh votes were cast for digital creators in various award categories during the voting round. Following this process, 23 winners, including three international creators, were selected.

The award ceremony recognized outstanding contributions in twenty categories, with Aman Gupta of Boat receiving the prestigious Celebrity Creator of the Year award.


Who is Aman Gupta?
Aman Gupta serves as the co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Boat Lifestyle, a company specializing in a wide range of gadgets, from earphones to smartwatches.

In his LinkedIn profile, Gupta describes himself as a 'Hustler, Dreamer, and Adaa’s Dad.'

He also serves as one of the judges on Shark Tank India.

Prior to his role at Boat, Gupta worked as a management consultant at KPMG and served as the Director at Harman. Additionally, he co-founded Imagine Marketing India and currently chairs the D2C Council.

Aman Gupta is also known as the king of D2C.

The 42-year-old entrepreneur said to have a net worth of around 720 crore. He said to have several high end cars like BMW X series to Mercedes.

In 2002, he attained his Chartered Accountant (CA) degree, becoming one of the youngest CAs in India. Gupta pursued further education and enrolled in the Indian School of Business (ISB) to obtain an MBA degree with a focus on finance and strategy. In 2015 Gupta, alongside Sameer Ashok Mehta, founded BoAt.
