US restaurant calls dosa 'Naked Crepe', gets schooled

People noticed on social media the Western names it has given to south Indian dishes like dosa and idli. And, not all are amused at those names.

An Indian restaurant in the US, Indian Crepe Co. is causing some buzz on Twitter after people noticed on social media the Western names it has given to south Indian dishes like dosa and idli. And, not all are amused at those names.

Going by its menu on Facebook, this is what the restaurant has given: Crispy Semolina Crepe for Rava Dosa, Onion and Tomato Pancake for Onion Tomato Uthappam, Skinned Black Chickpea Fritters for Dal Vadai, Dunked Doughnut Delight for Sambar Vadai.
