Trans-Harbour Railway services were temporarily suspended due to soil erosion beneath the railway tracks between Koparkhairane and Ghansoli in Navi Mumbai, affecting train operations on the route.

Railway authorities immediately initiated repair and restoration work at the affected location following the incident.

Traffic resumes with speed restrictions











According to Central Railway, train traffic has since been restored on the affected section after repair work was carried out.

However, trains are operating at a restricted speed as a precautionary measure on the affected portion of the Trans-Harbour line between Turbhe and Vashi.

Central Railway said restoration efforts are continuing in the affected area even after the resumption of services.

The speed restriction remains in place to ensure safe operations while authorities continue monitoring and carrying out necessary repair and restoration work on the stretch.
