Mumbai water cut: Residents in various parts of Mumbai, including Malabar Hill, Dadar, Lower Parel, Kurla, and Powai, should brace for a temporary water supply interruption on January 4-5. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials have identified a leakage issue in the 900mm cross-connection between Upper Vaitarna and Vaitarna main near Powai.

Despite the BMC's efforts to fix the problem, a more comprehensive repair is required, involving the isolation of Vaitarna mains from Equalisation point Bhandup Complex to Maroshi Tunnel. The repair work is scheduled for 24 hours, commencing at 10 am on January 4.
