Mumbai University to release second merit list today: Here’s all you need to know

The second merit list is meant for undergraduate admission for the academic session 2022-2023.

The first merit list of MU (Mumbai University) was released on June 29.
The second merit list for undergraduate admission for the academic year 2022-2023 is being released today by all the colleges associated with the University of Mumbai. All the applicants who have applied for the undergraduate programmes, including BA, BCom, and BSc, can check the list and cut-off percentage on the official college websites.

According to the schedule set by Mumbai University, the students shortlisted in the second merit list must complete the verification of all the documents and pay the fee online, along with the declaration form between July 8 and July 13. The affiliated colleges such as Ismail Yusuf College, Burhani College, Thakur College, HR College of Commerce, St Andrews College and Wilson College are releasing the second merit list. Other colleges like Sophia, Jai Hind, KJ Somaiya College and DG Ruparel, will also be releasing their list soon.

The first merit list of MU (Mumbai University) was released on June 29, and the online document verification, payment of fee and declaration were supposed to be done from June 30 and July 6. These colleges have prepared their second merit list based on the performance of the candidate in Class 12th, as well as, the number of seats remaining after the first round of counselling.


The second merit list will contain crucial details, including the candidate’s name, marks gained in Class 12th, category, HSC marks, subject combination, registration number, counselling details, etc. Candidates for the verification round will need to carry with them documents including address proof, Class 10th and 12th mark sheet, attested photocopy of Class 12th leaving certificate, transfer certificate, conduct certificate, valid ID proof and caste certificate. All the applicants are advised to check every detail carefully.

Students need to submit admission fee before the deadline. The admission fee differs from college to college. A total of three merit lists will be released for the academic session 2022-2023. Mumbai University is one of the oldest educational institutes dating back to the British era. The university has 781 affiliated colleges, 56 Departments, 2 main campuses and 12 specialised Centres.
