Mumbai University starts registrations for its 2022 distance learning courses

Interested candidates can now apply for these undergraduate and post-graduate programmes by visiting the official website - old.mu.ac.in/distance-open-learning. The admission process will begin from June 25 and continue till July 30.

Mumbai University has begun registrations for its distance learning programmes under the Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL). Interested candidates can now apply for these undergraduate and post-graduate programmes by visiting the official website - old.mu.ac.in/distance-open-learning.

The admission process will begin from June 25 and continue till July 30.

Undergraduate distance learning options include BA, B.Com, B.Sc. IT, and Masters of Arts Part – I in History, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Marathi, English and Hindi.


Furthermore, the notification also mentions openings for M.A. Part I and II in Geography and Education, M.Com Part I and II in Accounts/Management, and M.Sc Part I and II in Mathematics, IT and Computer Science.

Registration for other distance learning courses is also available online.

Documents needed:

To complete the Mumbai University IDOL admission, interested candidates will be required to submit the following documents:
1. Scanned photograph
2. Scanned signature (to be written on a blank, white background)
3. Proof of address/residence
4. Most recent applicable marksheet
5. Certificate of last qualifying exam
6. Caste certificate, if applicable

The official statement also asks students to seek approval from the IDOL Eligibility Unit before making the payment, if they’re applying on the basis of a qualifying exam that is not under the Maharashtra State Board or University, or University other than Mumbai University.

1. Simply visit the website mentioned above, and find the application link on the homepage.

2. Enter your credentials to log in to the official website.
3. Select the preferred course, and fill the application form.
4. Upload the documents required, and pay the application fee.
5. Save and print the submitted form for reference.

Mumbai University recently completed the admissions process for several courses, as well as the five-year integrated courses. Admissions were conducted online and offline, along with in-house and minority quota admissions. The Maharashtra Class 12 exam results were considered while conducting the above admission processes.
