Heavy rainfall has severely disrupted transport between Mumbai and Pune, with Central Railway suspending train services on key routes following landslides and track damage in the Bhor Ghat section. Authorities have also halted traffic on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the old Mumbai-Pune Highway due to landslides.

Central Railway said train services between Mumbai and Pune have been suspended after landslides in the Bhor Ghat section triggered by incessant rain. It also announced that train services between Karjat and Khopoli have been suspended after heavy rainfall caused ballast washout on the tracks. Railway officials said the damage was detected by alert staff, and restoration teams have been mobilised to repair the affected section and resume services.
