Mukul Dev's cause of death: He was depressed and didn’t take care of his health, reveals Vindu Dara Singh

Actor Mukul Dev passed away on Friday, May 23, at a hospital in Delhi. He was 54 years old. His close friend and actor Vindu Dara Singh confirmed the news and said Mukul had not been keeping well for the past 8 to 10 days. According to Vindu, Mukul was deeply affected by his mother’s death and had stopped taking care of his health.

Mukul was supposed to join a photoshoot for his upcoming movie Son of Sardaar 2, but he stopped answering calls, said Vindu. The film will now be his last movie.

In the first Son of Sardaar film, Mukul played the important role of Tony Singh Sandhu, the brother of characters played by Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. The movie was a big hit and earned over ₹161 crore worldwide.

About Son of Sardaar 2

Son of Sardaar 2 is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Devgn Films and Jio Studios. It stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Mrunal Thakur, Juhi Chawla, and Suniel Shetty. The movie is in the post-production stage, and the release date is yet to be announced.

Rahul Dev Shares Statement
Mukul’s brother, actor Rahul Dev, shared an official statement on Instagram. He said the cremation will take place in Delhi on May 24 at 5 PM. The address is: Dayanand Mukti Dham, H6OR & GF4, Nizamuddin West, Delhi-110013.
Mukul is survived by his daughter, Sia Dev, and his siblings, Rashmi Kaushal and Rahul Dev.
