Mrunal Thakur confirms she will star in another film produced by makers of Sita Ramam

Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur’s Telugu debut in August, starring alongside Dulquer Salmaan, in Sita Ramam was an instant success.

The love story managed to garner tremendous commercial success as well receiving critical acclaim. And now, the actress is ready to star in another movie by the same producers.

Following the success of Sita Ramam, Mrunal Thakur has become a sought-after actress in the Telugu film industry, following which the makers of her first Telugu movie have roped her in for another movie.


In a conversation with News18, Thakur said that she was impressed by Telugu filmmakers' passion for creating cinema and said she would be doing more Telugu movies in the future.

Sita Ramam was directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, which is helmed by C. Aswani Dutt. Released on August 5, 2022, the film became a massive success. It racked up more than Rs 105 crores at the box office, having been made on a Rs 30 crore budget.

While confirming that she’ll be working on another project with Vyjayanthi Movies, she said that the film wasn’t finalized. She also mentioned that she would only do a South Indian movie with Dutt and his team.
