Vrat Katha of Mohini Ekadashi

The Vrat Katha of Mohini Ekadashi recounts the tale of a wealthy man named Dhanpal who lived in Bhadravati with his five sons. Despite his affluence, Dhanpal was renowned for his generous and charitable nature. However, his youngest son, Dhrishtabuddhi, was spoiled and constantly engaged in immoral activities. Fed up with his son's behavior, Dhanpal banished him from the house.

Lost and alone, Dhrishtabuddhi stumbled upon the hermitage of Maharishi Kaundilya. Seeking guidance on how to atone for his sins, Dhrishtabuddhi sought counsel from the sage. Maharishi Kaundilya advised him to observe the Mohini Ekadashi fast and abide by its rules and regulations.

Following the sage's advice, Dhrishtabuddhi observed the fast with devotion and sincerity. As a result, all of his past misdeeds were absolved, and he achieved salvation. The Vrat Katha of Mohini Ekadashi underscores the power of this sacred fast and its ability to purify the soul of all transgressions.
