Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again demonstrated his unmatched digital reach, with eight of his posts emerging among the top 10 most liked and reposted tweets in India over the past 30 days on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). According to officials cited by PTI, he is the only politician to make it to the top 10 list, highlighting his continued dominance in India’s online political space.

The data is drawn from a new feature introduced by X, which highlights the most-liked posts in a country over the last month.

PM Modi’s Post With Vladimir Putin Tops the Chart

The most popular post among the eight was PM Modi’s photograph with Russian President Vladimir Putin, taken when the two leaders travelled together in a car from Delhi’s IGI airport following Putin’s arrival from Moscow on December 4.


The image recorded over 34,000 reposts and 2.14 lakh likes, making it the highest-performing post in the past month. The visual, which quickly went viral, highlighted the personal warmth and diplomatic rapport between the two leaders.

Another widely appreciated post from the same visit showed PM Modi presenting a copy of the Bhagavad Gita in Russian to President Putin. Shared on December 4, the post received 29,000 reposts and 2.31 lakh likes, reflecting strong engagement around India’s cultural diplomacy.

Diplomatic Moments and Cultural Pride Drive Engagement

Several other posts linked to the Russian President’s India visit also featured in the top list. PM Modi’s post welcoming Putin to 7, Lok Kalyan Marg garnered 20,000 reposts and 1.79 lakh likes, while another showing Putin receiving a guard of honour at Rashtrapati Bhavan clocked 28,100 reposts and 2.18 lakh likes.

Cultural and spiritual moments also struck a chord with users. PM Modi’s post on witnessing the Dharma Dhwajarohan Utsav at Shri Ram Janambhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya on November 25 received 26,300 reposts and 1.40 lakh likes, reinforcing the strong public interest in faith-linked national events.

Personal Messages and Sporting Achievements Also Shine

Beyond diplomacy and culture, personal and inspirational posts rounded out the list. PM Modi’s congratulatory message to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on his marriage on November 29 drew 14,900 reposts and 2.11 lakh likes, showing how even brief personal gestures can attract massive engagement.

Two other posts reflected Modi’s focus on individual achievement and inclusivity. His message celebrating 19-year-old Vedamurti Devavrat Mahesh Rekhe for completing Dandakrama Parayanam in just 50 days on December 2 received 22,500 reposts and 1.36 lakh likes. Meanwhile, his congratulatory post for the Indian Blind Women’s Cricket Team on November 24 recorded 14,900 reposts and 1.47 lakh likes.

Together, the eight posts amassed 1.60 lakh reposts and 14.76 lakh likes, making PM Modi the only political leader featured among India’s top 10 most liked X posts in the last 30 days.
