The reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska, known for her fascination with India's culture, expressed her enchantment with the mesmerizing beauty of Kashmir during her recent visit. On Monday, Karolina graced Kashmir and participated in the 71st Miss World 2023 press conference.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to see this beautiful place (Kashmir) in India. I didn't expect it at all, but it just stuns me with its beauty," Bielawska said during her visit.
The picturesque charm of Kashmir exceeded Karolina's expectations. Her sentiments reflected the collective awe of the attendees, including Miss World India Sini Shetty and Miss World Caribbean Emmy Pena. Karolina shared her excitement about introducing others to India's treasures, saying, "We've been talking about Kashmir and I knew there would be beautiful scenery. But what we've seen today was really blowing our minds... And everyone welcomed us so nicely, so warmly that I cannot wait to welcome 140 nations and all my friends and family to bring them here to India and to show places like Kashmir, like Delhi, Mumbai."
Karolina, accompanied by Sini Shetty and Emmy Pena, immersed themselves in the world of Kashmiri handicrafts and art. The trio's curiosity led them to Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre to explore the region's revered handicrafts, a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the land.
During their visit, they donned traditional Kashmiri attire, showcasing their appreciation for local customs. Not only did they indulge in the intricate craftsmanship of Kashmir, but they also marveled at the serene Jhelum River.
Miss Julia Morley, Chairman & CEO of the Miss World Organization, commended the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation for orchestrating a memorable experience during their valley visit. She praised their remarkable work, adding, "It’s been a breath-taking experience to visit Srinagar with the pageant holders and we have enjoyed every moment here.”
In the course of the day, Karolina enjoyed a scenic shikara ride on Dal Lake and shared lunch with other dignitaries.
