Mirzapur actor Shahnawaz Pradhan dies at 56 of cardiac arrest

Shahnawaz Pradhan, famed for his work in 'Phantom', 'Raees', 'Mirzapur', 'Tota Weds Maina', and many other films, died of a heart attack (Cardiac Arrest) at the age of 56. While attending an event, the popular actor complained of chest pain, went unconscious, and was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital, where doctors were unable to resuscitate him.


Surbhi Tiwari, a TV actress who was in the hospital for her brother’s treatment, told that she witnessed Shahnawaz being wheeled inside on a stretcher. He was admitted close to her brother. Surbhi remembered overhearing the doctors say that they could not locate a pulse in Shahnawaz and that his heart was not responding to any outside treatment. That’s when she learned Shahnawaz underwent bypass surgery a few months prior and had had a heart attack at an event. She expressed her sorrow and recalled Shahnawaz’s pleasant personality.



Meanwhile, Rajesh Tailang, who co-starred with him in the iconic crime series Mirzapur, turned to Instagram to express his sorrow. The actor posted a photo of himself from the scene with the remark, “Shahnawaz bhai aakhiri salaam! Yaqeen nahin ho raha, Mirzapur ke dauran kitna sundar waqt guzara aapke saath”.
