Mika Singh hails PM Modi after shopping in Indian Rupees at Doha Airport

Singer Mika Singh hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi after shopping at Doha Airport in Qatar. The singer praised PM Modi for enabling Indian currency to be used at the global level just like dollars.

Mika Singh was shopping at a luxury store at Doha Airport and he was able to pay for his purchase with Indian rupees.

The singer was delighted to experience this and shared the news with his followers on the microblogging platform Twitter.


Appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he informed on Twitter that he was able to use Indian rupees while shopping at Doha airport in the Louis Vuitton store.

“Good morning. I felt so proud to be able to use Indian rupees whilst shopping at #Dohaairport in the @LouisVuitton store. You can even use rupees in any restaurant.. Isn't that wonderful? A massive salute to @narendramodi saab for enabling us to use our money like dollars," Mika Singh wrote in the tweet.

According to reports, apart from Qatar, Dubai Duty Free also accepts payments in Indian currency. The airport has been accepting payments in rupees since July 1, 2019, and the currency is accepted at all points of sales in Terminal 1, 2, 3 of Dubai International.
