Meta announces it will shut down live-streaming ‘Super’ app by February 2023
Meta has announced that it will shut down its cameo-like app, ‘super’, a live-streaming platform by february 15, 2023.

‘Super’ is basically a live-streaming platform which was developed for the influencers in 2020. This app was made to help influencers interact with their fans and earn a good amount of money but sadly this app is shutting down by meta.
The company is hoping to have a virtual meet-and-greet experience similar to real- life events. This will also engage more people and influencers can also connect with their fans personally.
Although, it has been said that ‘Super’ will not be officially shut down until february, the users can continue to create new events during this time.
In general, during the pandemic-era highs meta has faced strong economic headwinds as it declines. That phase caused the company to lay off about 11,000 employees, who received their pink slips in November.
Super is not the only live-streaming app, there are many others in which people go live and earn revenue. Although Super will not be formally closed until February, users will still be allowed to organise new events during this time, according to the source. Furthermore, Super joins a long line of projects and apps that Meta has already shut down.
