Social media giant ‘Meta’ is set to roll out a new feature that will allow users to integrate the settings of their multiple Meta accounts. The company is launching an Accounts Center to help customers manage their preferences across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.

The upgrades will go live from today, i.e., January 20, 2023. They will soon be accessible to all the customers of Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram in the following months. Meta revealed the news through their official blog post.

Reportedly, the upcoming facility will enhance the working experience for users with one or more accounts in Meta’s multifaceted ecosystem. The feature will provide a centralized space for storing essentials like personal information, security, passwords, Ad preferences, etc. For example, users can fix their Ad preferences consistently for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp by including these accounts in the same Accounts Center. The facility is optional, so the users who prefer to maintain their accounts in separate Accounts Centers can do so without hassle.

Apart from this, Meta is also introducing upgrades and improvements to its Ad settings. Advertisements form an essential part of any social media platform. Those who use Instagram and Facebook must have seen advertisements alongside the posts. While some Ads suit the users' interests, others hamper the social media experience. This is why Meta is now planning to improve its Ad control settings.

The team is working on features that will give more control to the users, allowing them to choose Ads that savour their interests. Currently, Meta’s social media applications give users a fair chance to limit the pop-up of Ads that do not interest them.
