Pakistan's vice-captain for limited-overs cricket, Shadab Khan, recently showcased the strong bond he shares with his teammate Hasan Ali by stepping up to counter an online troll's mockery. The incident unfolded on social media, shedding light on the camaraderie and unity within the team.

The incident originated when Shadab Khan shared a series of pictures on X (formerly Twitter) with a playful caption, "Modelling skills better? Learning from my teammates." Hasan Ali, quick to respond, humorously praised Shadab in his native language, stating, "May I be sacrificed for you, let's go again, my friend. May the evil eye stay away, by the grace of God."

However, this exchange didn't sit well with a fan who criticized Hasan Ali for communicating in his mother tongue and urged the Pakistan Cricket Board to educate players on proper social media usage. The fan's comment read, "For God's Sake @RealHa55an, You are an international cricketer...!! @TheRealPCBMedia @Rehan_ulhaq @TheRealPCB at least educate them how to use social media platforms."

Coming to Hasan's defense, Shadab Khan imparted a poignant lesson by referring to global sports icon Lionel Messi, who is known to struggle with English communication

"Messi english na bolay theek. Foreign players english mai aesi baat ker de theek. Laikin hmy chahe ke ham natural na rahe. Hum fake personality bna le. Bhai mujhe to apne culture ya mazak mai koi sharam nahi. Allah sab ko khush rakhay aur dosre ki khushi mai bhi khush rakhay," tweeted Shadab which roughly translates to: "Messi didn't speak English well. Foreign players can speak freely in English. But we shouldn't feel obligated to lose our natural self. Let's not fabricate a fake personality. Brother, I have no shame in embracing my culture or humor. May Allah keep everyone happy and find happiness in others' joy as well."
