'Meri soch nahi, tumhari...': Badshah responds to backlash over Dua Lipa comment, calls it ‘most beautiful compliment’ a woman can receive

Rapper Badshah has clarified a comment he made about popular singer Dua Lipa, calling it the “most beautiful compliment” one could give to a woman.

Badshah, known for songs like “Mercy,” “Akkad Bakkad,” “Garmi,” and “Sanak,” faced criticism online after replying to a fan on social media. On Saturday, he posted on his X handle, “Dua Lipa (heart emoji).”

A fan then asked if there was a collaboration coming up between Badshah and Dua Lipa. Badshah replied, “I'd rather make babies with her bro.” This comment caused mixed reactions, with many people criticising him.


Later, Badshah shared another tweet to explain his words. He said, “I think one of the most beautiful compliments that you could give to a woman that you really admire is to wish for her to mother your children. Meri soch nahi tumhari soch saamne aayi hai,” which means, “It’s my thought, not yours, that has come out.”

Dua Lipa is an Albanian singer known for hits like “Levitating,” “Houdini,” and “Training Season.” She visited India in November last year and performed in Mumbai as part of her Radical Optimism tour.
