The incident took place on Wednesday after the woman’s purse was allegedly stolen during the journey.
Witnesses said she first approached the Railway Protection Force (RPF) seeking help but claimed her complaint was ignored. Moments later, she returned to her seat and began striking the window with a metal tray.
In the video, the woman can be seen sitting with a small child beside her as she repeatedly hits the window until it shatters.
“Mera purse chahiye… baat khatam,” she is heard shouting as glass fragments scatter across the seat and floor while railway staff and passengers attempt to calm her.
The video has sparked mixed reactions online. Some users said her anger was understandable if her complaint was ignored, while others criticised the act for endangering passengers and damaging public property. Many also expressed concern for the child’s safety.
Railway authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the incident or the allegations against the RPF.
