The prize winner can choose annual payouts totaling $800 million or a one-time cash option of $404.2 million. Texas law allows winners of prizes over $1 million to remain anonymous.
This is the 15th Mega Millions jackpot won in Texas. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350. In addition to the big prize, four other players matched the five white balls to win $1 million each. These tickets were sold in New York, California, Florida, and Washington State.
