Zanai Bhosle, granddaughter of legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, is gearing up for her big-screen debut with a high-profile historical drama. Known for her growing presence on social media, Zanai is now taking a significant step into the film industry, continuing her family’s long-standing association with the arts.

Born in Mumbai in 2002, Zanai was raised in an environment deeply influenced by music, cinema, and performance. Her father, Anand Bhosle, has also been associated with acting, while her mother, Ahuja Bhosle, has largely stayed away from the limelight. Growing up in such a creatively rich atmosphere, Zanai developed an early inclination toward artistic expression. She is believed to have pursued her education at the prestigious Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland. She also has a brother, Ranjay Bhosle, about whom little is publicly known.

Zanai is set to make her acting debut with The Pride of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a multilingual historical film directed by Sandeep Singh. In the film, she will portray Rani Sai Bhonsale, the first wife of the Maratha ruler. The project stars Rishab Shetty in the lead role and is expected to be mounted on a large scale. The film will release in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Bengali, with a theatrical release slated for January 21, 2027.

Even before her acting debut, Zanai explored music, following in the footsteps of her iconic grandmother. Her musical work includes tracks such as Main Heer Teri, Adatein, and Kehndi Hai, along with recreated versions of songs like Hila Pori Hila and Tera Hi Ehsaas Hai.

Zanai’s entry into films comes at a time when she carries forward the legacy of Asha Bhosle, whose passing at the age of 92 marked the end of a remarkable era in Indian music. With her debut, Zanai now steps into a new chapter—one that blends legacy with her own emerging identity in the entertainment world.
