Meet two Zomato delivery boys. One just cleared Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission exam. Another is a techie

In yet another inspirational story posted on social media, a delivery partner who worked with food delivery platform Zomato has cleared the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Exam. "Drop a like for Vignesh, who just cleared Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Exam while working as a Zomato delivery partner," the company posted on its Twitter handle, while also sharing Vignesh's photo with his parents. Since being posted about 24 hours ago, it was been viewed over 1 lakh times.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission exam is a state-level exam conducted by the state and selection process consists of both written examination and interview.

Many social media users not only congratulated Vignesh but also praised his determination. "Congratulations Vignesh. Great achievement. May you do well in the future. Just like in Zomato, where you hardly get any tips, your services in the Tamil Nadu government services should see you as a clean worker . Do service without any bribes," said @SatishG85570238.


Another user @puthiabala said: "Struggle of these kind of boys life Working round the clock n simultaneously competing with who are sitting in home and fully focused on studies. His grit is unimaginable."



Last year, another Shaik Abdul Sathar, had posted on LinkedIn that that working as a delivery boy not only helped him contribute towards small needs of his family but also helped him improve his communication skills when he started working as a software engineer. He had worked as a delivery boy with many e-commerce platforms like Ola, Swiggy, Uber, Rapido and Zomato during his college days. "I was everywhere since final year of college. I wanted to contribute financially as soon as I can. Because my father is a contract worker. So we only had just enough money to get by. I was very shy initially, but being a delivery boy I learnt many things," he posted on LinkedIn.

Shaik Abdul Sathar , who is working as software engineer, also shared how he learnt to code. "One day, I got a casual advice to learn coding. My friend told me about a course and insisted that I join it. I took his suggestion seriously and spent my mornings learning to code. From 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, I did my deliveries. With the money I earned from those, I used as pocket money and also for small needs for my family."



"My delivery boy experience helped me build communication skills," he said.
