Rahul Gandhi surprises Sonia Gandhi with adorable new addition Noorie to the Gandhi clan

In a touching gesture to mark World Animal Day, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi introduced his newest family member, Noorie, to social media. Noorie, a precious gift for his mother Sonia Gandhi, was flown all the way from Goa. This heartwarming story was shared via a video on Rahul Gandhi's YouTube channel.

During his recent trip to Goa in August, Rahul Gandhi had the opportunity to meet a Goan family who entrusted him with the care of Noorie. The adorable addition to their family is reported to be an exquisite breed of Jack Russell Terrier.

The connection was made during Rahul Gandhi's private visit to Goa, where he met with dog breeders Sharvani Pitre and her husband Stanley Braganca. The couple had earlier mentioned that they received a call from Rahul Gandhi's office inquiring about the availability of Jack Russell Terriers.


In the video shared by Rahul Gandhi, viewers can see the heartwarming moment when he took Noorie on a metro ride, interacting with fellow passengers along the way. He even had a conversation with a passenger who had a friend on a video call.

Upon arriving home in New Delhi, Rahul Gandhi surprised Sonia Gandhi with the gift. Initially hesitant, Sonia Gandhi soon came out to meet Noorie and cradled the new family member in her lap. Rahul Gandhi revealed that Noorie had embarked on a 2-3 hour journey to their home. Sonia Gandhi, after the initial surprise, expressed her joy, exclaiming, "She's so cute," and thanking her son for the thoughtful gift.


Noorie wasted no time in making herself comfortable, meeting Sonia Gandhi's other dog, and even playing with a mobile phone back cover that happened to be on the bed.
