Hot, crispy samosas have a charm that’s hard to resist. Now imagine that familiar crunch and spicy kick being served with unapologetic desi energy right in the middle of London. That’s exactly what’s going viral online.

A woman known as “Goriya Devi” has taken social media by storm after a video showed her selling authentic Bihari samosas on the streets of London. With her lively chants of “Samosa, samosa!”, she quickly drew a crowd of curious passers-by and delighted Indian food lovers abroad.

Dressed in an apron and cap over a black full-sleeved top paired with a dhoti-style skirt, Goriya Devi brought pure Bihar vibes to the UK capital. The now-viral Instagram clip shows her confidently announcing, “Aaj London ke streets mein Bihari samosa bechegi,” as she fries fresh batches inside a food truck kitchen.

Desi Flavours Meet London Streets

The video captures her rushing her co-worker with a cheerful, “Jaldi jaldi banao, I need to go on the streets, Babu,” before heading out with trays of piping hot samosas.

Spotting a group of Indian foodies, she calls out, “Samose samose, Bihar ke samose, Goriya ne parose,” instantly grabbing attention. People stop, smile, and some even whip out their phones to capture the moment.

At one point, she pauses near a temple, folds her hands and chants, “Har Har Mahadev,” before getting straight back to business. “Mehenat karte hai ji,” she says with pride, and honestly, you can feel the hustle.

To top it off, she cheekily references the popular Bhojpuri track ‘Lallan Top Lagelu’, adding a fun cultural twist that viewers loved.

Internet Reacts: “Reverse Colonisation!”

The video has racked up praise and laughs online. Some users jokingly called it “reverse colonisation,” while others flooded the comments with support.

“Proud to be Bihari,” one user wrote.
