Man tries to pet lion cubs. Watch how one of them reacts

A man who tried to pet two lion cubs for the camera is getting mocked on social media for what happened when one of them snapped backed at him.

The video posted on Instagram by a user called Basit Ayan two weeks ago does not say where and when it happened. It showed two very young lion cubs on the trunk of a black car, looking very frightened, and a man trying to pose with them.

The man was trying to pet the two cubs while they were being filmed. One of the cubs was docile enough, while the other started getting aggressive, possibly because of the approaching cameraperson.


That was when the man tried to pet the restless one. The animal suddenly snarled at him and lunged for his hand, and the startled man instinctively jumped back.

The video clip ended with him trying to catch hold of the restless one which wanted to get away.

Many of those who responded were angry at the way those wild animals were treated. "What is he trying to prove? Get those poor cats in a zoo asap," commented a user.

Another person pointed out that they are wild animals meant to roam free in the wild and not meant to "be domesticated for Insta reels".

"When will he ever learn?!!! We need to show them the respect they deserve and give them their space," said another angry user.
