To combat this daily ordeal, Mumbai's denizens have long turned to the city's local and metro train networks as their preferred mode of transportation. However, an interesting episode recently unfolded when a young man decided to take his bicycle along for the ride on the Mumbai metro.

This unconventional journey was shared on Instagram, where he expressed, "Navigating through the bustling streets of Mumbai and seamlessly transitioning onto the metro with your bicycle is nothing short of an exhilarating adventure. It not only allows you to explore diverse corners of the city but also immerses you in the local culture, all while savouring the vibrant atmosphere. What's even more intriguing is that the Mumbai Metro authorities have a bicycle-friendly policy, permitting passengers to bring their bicycles abroad without incurring any extra charges. Each train compartment features a designated parking area capable of accommodating one bicycle at a time. However, it's essential to note that this cyclist-friendly initiative is currently available exclusively on the yellow line 2A and red line 7.
