Man impersonates TSRTC driver, attempts to steal bus with passengers onboard

In an unexpected turn of events, an individual posing as a driver for the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) took off with a bus filled with passengers in Siddipet on Sunday night.

Siddipet police have reported that a case has been filed based on a complaint from RTC officials, who have initiated a search to apprehend the suspect. The incident occurred on a TSRTC bus originating from Sircilla, scheduled to reach the Jubilee Bus Station. However, during a dinner break at the Siddipet bus stand, an unidentified individual seized the opportunity to enter the bus and assume the driver's position.

With passengers already onboard, the imposter began operating the bus in a reckless manner. The situation took a concerning turn when, at Jillela Crossroad, the bus veered off the road, leaving passengers in shock.


Fortunately, the suspect managed to bring the vehicle to a halt before exiting and fleeing the scene. Alarmingly, he had already collected fares from some passengers during the journey.

Upon returning to the bus bay, the legitimate RTC driver discovered the bus, along with its passengers, had vanished. He immediately notified his superiors, who later learned that the bus had been abandoned near Jillela Crossroad by the impersonator. Authorities are now actively working to locate and apprehend the suspect responsible for this unusual incident.
