A woman can also be seen nearly escaping death during the high tide. As per preliminary reports, many people crossed the fence at the Mughasil beach, and out of them, two people drowned, and a few others went missing.
The man, named Shashikant (42), has been working as a sales manager in a Dubai-based firm and was on a day-long picnic in Oman with his wife and two children. He was with his son Shreyas (6) and Shreya (9) on the beach at the time of the incident. The event shattered Shashikant’s wife to the core. According to Abhijeet Chaudhari, Sangli District Collector, the relatives of the family are heading to Oman, and they will get the all help in Dubai and Oman via the Indian embassy.
A total of five tourists might have died in the incident, as per the Oman Police tweet, which says search operations were going on for remaining three persons, including the daughter of Shashikant.
