Man arrested for selling ICC cricket world cup tickets worth Rs 2,500 at Rs 11,000

Kolkata Police have also seized a total of 20 tickets from his possession for the India Vs South Africa match which is going to be held on November 5, news wire agency ANI reported.

Kolkata Police have arrested a man named Ankit Agarwal for selling the ICC Cricket World Cup India Vs South Africa match tickets worth Rs. 2500 at Rs. 11,000 each.

Kolkata Police have also seized a total of 20 tickets from his possession for the India Vs South Africa match which is going to be held on November 5, news wire agency ANI reported.

India have won all their six ODI matches in the World Cup. The last match against England saw the Indian bowlers rip through their top order to register a memorable win.


India defended 229 runs put on board and bowled out England on 129 in the match played in Lucknow.

The race for a semi-final spot is narrowing down with India on the top of the points table.

Meanwhile, South Africa is set to take on New Zealand tomorrow.

Currently, India is at the top of the table with 12 points after winning all its six matches so far followed by South Africa which has 10 points after six matches. The Kiwis at the third position having own four out of six matches.
