Malaika Arora's father called his daughters before committing suicide, claim reports

Malaika Arora's father, Anil Arora, has reportedly committed suicide. He was found in his residence on the sixth floor of Ayesha Manor. He was 62 years old. The Mumbai Police are investigating his death and are considering all possibilities.

Meanwhile, reports claimed that Anil Arora called his daugher before committing suicide.

On Tuesday night, the Arora family gathered together, with Maloika and her sister Amrita visiting their parents' residence. A police source told ETimes that Anil Arora spoke to his younger daughter, Amrita, the night before his death. "The call details are indicative of the fact that he did call Amrita Arora. She is closer to his father and was quite his favorite," the source told ETimes.


As per India TV, he reportedly told his daughers that he is tired. "I am tired," he reportedly told just before committing suicide.

Anil Arora lived in the same building as his ex-wife, Joyce Polycarp. Their routine involved him borrowing her newspaper every morning. However, on this particular morning, Joyce noticed only his slippers and felt something was amiss.

DCP Crime Branch Raj Tilak Roshan told the media, "Body of one Anil Arora (62) was found. He resided on the 6th floor. We are carrying out further investigation and our team is here. We are investigating all angles in detail. Our teams are here, forensic teams are here as well...Body is being taken for postmortem. We are investigating everything in detail...Prima facie it seems to be suicide, we are conducting further investigation."

Anil Arora and Joyce Polycarp divorced when Malaika Arora was 11 years old. Malaika and her sister Amrita were raised by their mother in Thane. They recently lived on the same floor as their father, while Malaika resided in a separate apartment in Bandra.

Friends and family have gathered to support the Arora family during this difficult time. Notable visitors included Arjun Kapoor, Salim Khan, Salma Khan, Helen, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Sohail Khan, Seema Sajdeh, Kim Sharma, and Ritesh Sidhwani.
