Mahindra appears to be preparing a new special edition of the Scorpio N, with an example bearing Edition One badges spotted at a dealership yard. The SUV features a black exterior, a redesigned front grille and a wine-red cabin, setting it apart visually from the standard model.

The special edition follows Mahindra's equipment updates to the Scorpio N in August 2026. While the manufacturer has not announced the Edition One's pricing or launch details, the vehicle spotted at the dealership offers a look at its distinctive exterior and interior treatment.

Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One: Wine-red cabin and redesigned grille

The most noticeable change inside the Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One is its wine-red upholstery, which extends across the seats, sections of the dashboard and door pads. The darker shade contrasts with the black upper dashboard and lower cabin plastics.

The seats feature stitched upholstery and perforated centre sections, while metallic accents surround the door handles, air vents and centre console. The second row retains a bench-seat layout, with rear AC vents positioned behind the front centre armrest.

The cabin also features a panoramic sunroof, a large central touchscreen, a multifunction steering wheel and an automatic gear selector. These features come alongside the equipment revisions introduced in August, when selected Scorpio N variants received a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and updated cabin controls.

Higher-spec variants also received a 540-degree camera system and Level 2 advanced driver assistance features as part of the equipment update.

Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One exterior: Black finish and new front grille

The Edition One's front fascia gets the most apparent exterior change. The standard model's vertical grille elements have been replaced by multiple horizontal black slats, with small rectangular metallic inserts positioned between them. The Mahindra Twin Peaks logo sits at the centre, with a bright trim section running along the upper edge.

The SUV retains the familiar angular headlamp housings, LED daytime running lights, sculpted bonnet and lower fog lamp recesses. Silver detailing is also visible around the lower bumper.

At the rear, the Edition One continues with the Scorpio N's existing design, including vertically oriented LED tail lamps, a roof spoiler, rear wiper and sculpted tailgate. Its black exterior is complemented by dark alloy wheels, roof rails, side steps and window surrounds.

The Edition One badges can be seen on the front doors and rear pillars. The SUV also features the revised 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels that Mahindra introduced on selected Scorpio N variants in August 2026.

Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One engine and transmission options

The special edition is expected to retain the Scorpio N's existing engine options: a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit and a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

Both engines are offered with six-speed manual and six-speed torque-converter automatic transmissions, depending on the variant. Four-wheel drive is available with selected diesel configurations. The Edition One spotted at the dealership appears to be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options.

Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One vs Carbon Edition: What's different?

Mahindra already sells the Scorpio N Carbon Edition, which features black exterior detailing and a dark cabin theme. The Edition One follows a different styling approach, combining a black body with a contrasting wine-red interior and metallic accents.

The new special edition's pricing and availability have not been announced. The standard Mahindra Scorpio N is currently priced between Rs 13.69 lakh and Rs 25.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
