Kumbh Mela area to be no vehicle zone from 4 PM Tuesday, Prayagraj from 6 PM
According to an official statement, vehicles carrying essential goods will be exempted from these restrictions. The administration has requested all visitors to follow the guidelines and cooperate with officials to maintain order.
Designated Ghats for Bathing
- The Mela Police Administration has assigned specific bathing locations based on the entry routes of devotees:
- Those arriving via Dakshini Jhunsi should use Arail Ghat
- Devotees coming through Uttari Jhunsi must head to Harishchandra Ghat and Old GT Ghat
- Visitors entering from Pande Kshetra should use Bharadwaj Ghat, Nagavasuki Ghat, Mori Ghat, Kali Ghat, Ram Ghat, and Hanuman Ghat
- People arriving from the Arail sector should proceed to Arail Ghat for bathing
Essential Services and Crowd Management
"Essential services, including the transport of milk, vegetables, medicines, fuel, and emergency vehicles, will not be restricted. Government personnel such as doctors, police officers, and administrative staff will also have free movement," the statement clarified.To manage the large crowds, pontoon bridges will be controlled based on the density of devotees. Officials have advised visitors to avoid unnecessary movement and return to their destinations promptly after completing rituals.
Maha Kumbh 2025: Massive Turnout
Being held after 12 years, the Maha Kumbh Mela, which started on January 13, will conclude on February 26. According to the Uttar Pradesh government, the grand religious gathering has recorded a staggering footfall of over 63 crore pilgrims and visitors so far.The Mela Police Administration has urged all visitors to follow instructions and help maintain discipline during the final leg of the sacred event.
