Maamannan OTT release date announced; here's where and when you watch it

Tamil political thriller, 'Maamannan', directed by Mari Selvaraj is all set to release on OTT platforms after its successful theatre run.

The movie stars, Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil, and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles.

The movie revolves around the father-son duo, Maamannan, and Veera, and the story follows them as they tackle the obstacles put forth by their rival, Rathnavelu, to establish his control in politics.

Netflix India announced the release date on its official social media handles. The Instagram post was captioned, "VADIVELU, UDHAYANIDHI, FAHADH, KEERTHY, MARI SELVARAJ AND AR RAHMAN TOGETHER!! We’re seeing stars. Maamannan, coming to Netflix on the 27th of July!"

At the audio launch, director Mari Selvaraj remarked that Kamal Haasan's "Thevar Magan" had a significant influence on the movie "Maamannan."

"I didn't know whether 'Thevar Magan' was right or wrong after watching it, but it touched me so strongly. I saw "Periya Thevar" and "Chinna Thevar," but I was unable to find my father in the movie. One of the highlights of my life has been seeing the movie with Kamal Haasan, sir.

'Maamannan' will be a huge film in my career with an ensemble star cast,' Mari Selvaraj stated in an interview. The movie discusses important politics. Additionally, Vadivelu's part will come as a surprise and serve to further emphasize how legendary he is.

Music for "Maamannan" was created by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. Theni Eswar handled the film's photography, Selva RK handled the editing, and Kumar Gangappan handled the art direction. Red Giant Movies' M Shengabag Moorthy and R Arjun Durai produced it.
