The operation, codenamed “Operation Numkhor”—with ‘Numkhor’ meaning ‘vehicle’ in the Bhutanese language—is targeting suspected tax violations involving high-end cars, according to a PTI report.
Customs officials said the action follows reports of luxury vehicles being imported from Bhutan and registered as second-hand to avoid taxes. Around 15 such violations have been detected, they added.
Asked about the searches at the homes of the actors, an official at the Customs Preventive Commissionerate said, “The documents of their vehicles are being examined.”
Dulqueer Salmaan is set to feature in his next feature film with Pooja Hegde, the makers have announced.
The yet-untitled movie is Salmaan's 41st feature project and will be directed by Ravi Nelakuditi, who earlier helmed Mahesh Babu-starrer "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" (2022). It will be produced by SLV Cinemas.
"Welcoming the enchanting @hedgepooja on board for #DQ41. DQ and Pooja's chemistry will be magical on the big screens," the studio captioned the post.
