Amit, the victim's son, has two pet dogs - a Labrador and a pit bull - he has been raising for the past three years.
The Tripathis are residents of Kaiser Bagh's Bengali Tola area.
Brownie, the pit bull, was reportedly responsible for the teacher's death. The post-mortem revealed that she'd lost her life due to excessive blood loss caused by 12 severe wounds to her neck and abdomen.
