LSG made three changes to their lineup, with Josh Inglis, Mohsin Khan, and Avesh Khan missing out, while Arshin Kulkarni and Shahbaz Ahmed were included in the playing XI. A victory over Lucknow Super Giants would take the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru to the top of the IPL 2026 points table, surpassing overnight leaders Sunrisers Hyderabad.

LSG, meanwhile, have endured a difficult campaign this season, losing seven of their nine matches so far and remaining at the bottom of the standings with just four points.

The last time the two teams met earlier this season, RCB secured a convincing five-wicket win over Lucknow on home soil.
